A community meeting will be held on February 4 at 7:00 p.m. at the Tuscany Club to gauge interest in starting a Tuscany Community Garden. This meeting is open to anyone interested in the idea of starting a beautiful, welcoming gathering place in our community. Gardening experience is not required. What is a community garden: Community gardens come in many different shapes and sizes.  Gardeners can have their own individual plot within the community garden and can also join with others to grow some crops communally, sharing in the work and the harvest. Every community garden is unique and develops from what the gardeners decide.

Issue There is a proposed land use change for 7 Tuscarora Crescent NW, which is currently a pre-school day home but is applying to become a Child Care Services Facility that will accommodate up to 35 children. Whether you support or object to this Land Use Change, you can attend the public meeting being held on January 18th at 9:30am at City Hall to voice your opinion on this matter. The City of Calgary has received an application to amend the Land Use Designation (zoning) for the property described in the attachment in the attachment (7 Tuscora Crescent NW). As owner of an adjacent property you are hereby advised that City Council will hold a Public Hearing in the Council Chambers Calgary Municipal Building 800 Macleod Trail SE, on Monday January 18, 2010 commencing at 9:30 a.m.

Welcome to the new TCA website – we hope that you like it. The goals behind the change were to create a site where information could be posted in a timely manner, our community members could give instant feedback to each other and to the Association and  to offer a site that is streamlined but rich in relevant information. Let us know what you think of the change and your thoughts on news and information coming into our community.

The TCA would like to give a big thanks to community member Denis Laing of Vertical Park Consulting for volunteering to manage our old site and for helping so much in our transition to this new site. We couldn’t have done it without your time and efforts.

The Tuscany Community Association receives a lot of emails each month from residents who are confused between what the Community and Residents Associations are in Tuscany and why we have two Associations at all. Here’s some information to help illustrate how these two Associations work.
