On November 24th there was a meeting at the Bearspaw Lions Hall to discuss the upcoming widening of the 12 Mile Coulee road. Work is currently scheduled to begin in the spring of 2017 with the intent to finish before winter 2017. The final product will be an undivided four-lane road with retaining walls in appropriate places, sidewalks, a gravel walking path, and street lighting as appropriate. We are excited about this development and believe that it will make this road safer while improving access to Tuscany. You can see the draft designs and other details here, additional information is provided on the website of Eric Lowther, Councillor for Bearspaw and Rockyview here.

A number of garden gnomes and lawn ornaments from lawns across Tuscany went missing last week, but have appeared safe and sound at Robert Thirsk High School. It appears the unfortunate gnomes were part of a high school prank. The Tuscany Community Association received this heartfelt apology from Kyra Bogensberger, A. Principal at the school: Please accept my apologies on behalf of the staff and students at RTHS. I have included pictures from different angles. Gnomes can be picked up at our school or you can call us at 403-817-3400 and we can arrange their return. We are saddened that the actions of a few of our students have affected your community. Thank you. If you have a wayward gnome that you would like to reclaim, please contact Robert Thirsk High School directly at 403-817-3400 to arrange their return.
