Feedback wanted for Calgary northwest recreation centre 1

The City of Calgary is planning for four new recreation facilities in Calgary’s most underserved areas – one in the far northwest and three in the southeast.  Each site will have amenities designed to meet the specific needs of their area. Citizen engagement is a critical part of this process and your input, into what should be included in these facilities, is being sought. If you would like to provide your thoughts to the City, we encourage you to visit the URL below and complete the online survey. A public open house will also be held on September 15th for those interested in attending (details are in the link below). http://www.calgary.ca/CSPS/Recreation/Pages/Research-and-development/P3-NW-SE.aspx?redirect=%2Fnewreccentres

What Would You Like To Do At COP?

The Tuscany Community Association is developing a relationship with WinSport Canada at Calgary Olympic Park to better serve our members.  Future opportunities include discounted rates for TCA members for various sports programs. To help gauge interest, we invite you to take our online survey and tell us which activities might be of interest to you or your family. We really appreciate your feedback.

Tuscany Arts Day a Great Success! 1

On June 12, over 400 talented community members came to paint a canvas, eat some hot dogs and meet their neighbours. The Tuscany Community Association would like to thank Sobeys for sponsoring the barbecue and all the kids, parents and grandparents who attended the event. Look for your art to be displayed in the next couple of weeks on the fence of the middle school. In order for us to best serve our community, we want to hear from you. Post your comments to these two questions:

Is Calgary a Neighbourly City? Have a Say!

It is time for you to have your say.  Sponsored by the Federation of Calgary Communities, the 2011 Calgary Neighbourhood Survey is now available at www.calgarycommunities.com.  It is a short survey that you can fill out online that will help all of the not-for-profit organizations that support communities in Calgary. This year there are ten $200 gift certificates that you will be entered into a draw for, just for taking five minutes to fill out the survey.  Plus you will help to make Calgary a place that everyone is proud to call home. If you think that Calgary is a neighbourly place, or if you feel your community can be improved, check out the survey here.  Everyone’s opinion is important!

What Do You Think? March 2011

Old Photos and Best Friends We’d like to send out congratulations to our local photographer and Sun contributor, Erin Baer, on the birth of a health baby boy named Henry. You can read all about Henry on page 37, as well as see a few beautiful pictures of this little boy. In Erin’s article, she mentions that she’s been loving receiving old family photos from her uncle who has been digitizing their original family photos.
