West Calgary Ring Road Construction Notice – September 2019Bow River Pathway Construction This fall there will be ongoing work at the far west end of Bowness Park underneath the Stoney Trail NW bridge. A second bridge over the Bow River is being constructed for the West Calgary Ring Road. Starting in early September, construction on a new pathway alignment and staircase will begin. The new pathway alignment (1 – shown on the plan below) replaces a section of pathway (2) in an area needed for the construction, and the new staircase (3) will provide an alternate connection for a temporary pathway closure (4). The pathway will be closed temporarily in late October or early November for approximately three weeks to perform preparatory site works in this area.
