CALGARY ROCKY RIDGE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION FORUM

The Calgary Rocky Ridge Forum was held Thursday evening where residents were given opportunity to see and hear the four candidates respond to key issues and provide relevant information on their party positions. Candidates were available before and after the formal agenda to meet constituents and answer individual specific questions. A forum is an event where pre-selected questions are carefully selected that provides opportunity for all candidates to respond; it is not a debate, nor does it target any one candidate. All Candidates Forum Oct 8th 7:30pm 1

The TCA is pleased to co-host an ALL-CANDIDATES FORUM for our new federal riding of CALGARY ROCKY RIDGE. The FORUM will be held Thursday, October 8th, 7:30 PM at the Tuscany Club: 212 Tuscany Way NW. Any residents in the riding are welcome to attend. For those who are unable to make it, the forum will be recorded and posted to YouTube, via a link from our website. A series of prepared questions will be posed to the candidates by the moderator. Questions for the candidates may be submitted via email to president@tuscanyca.org for consideration. There will be no questions from the floor, but campaign teams will be available afterward to provide information and engage on an individual basis. Tuscany LRT Public Art Celebration!

The City of Calgary is pleased to host a community celebration of roger that – a new large-scale public artwork at the Tuscany LRT station, created by Canadian artist Bill Pechet. Bring the family. Bring a friend. Bring a neighbour you’ve yet to meet. Calgarians will delight in live local music, light refreshments and interactive art activities lead by mentee artists who were inspired by Bill Pechet’s creation. GO collaborative, the Community and Cultural Development artists for the Tuscany LRT project will also be present conducting community engagement for their upcoming project. roger that is a permanent public artwork comprised of two, 12 metre-high sculptures, situated on either side of Crowchild Trail. PJ Movie Party at the Tuscany Club! Thursday December 4th 8:15-10pm, all youth in grades 7-12 welcome! You do not need to be a Tuscany Club member to come hang out! Free event, includes popcorn and pop! Bring your Pj’s, bring your friends, and let’s get our cozy on!


Third Annual Tuscany Harvest Festival

It’s Almost Here! The 3rd annual Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, with Lawn Chair Theatre to follow at 2:30. Check our Harvest Festival Page for a list of sponsors and exciting activities that we are planning for this year’s festival. Admission is FREE to ALL Tuscany residents. Tuscany Book Swap

The Annual Tuscany Community Association Book Swap is back again this spring! Donate your used books at Tuscany Sobeys or the Tuscany Club from May 1 to 9. Drop by the Tuscany Club on Saturday, May 10 to pick-up a book, visit with some neighbours, and meet representatives from the community association. The event is open to all members of the community and there is no charge for donating, trading, or picking-up used books. All left-over books will be donated to the Calgary Reads Book Sale.
